It is essential that all clothing is clearly marked with your child's name.
Can my child wear jewellery for school?
No jewellery should be worn in school except:
- one small stud in each pierced ear, no larger than the earlobe; and
- a wristwatch.
No other earrings, studs, rings, bracelets or necklaces may be worn.
For safety reasons, all jewellery—including jewellery worn for religious purposes—and all watches must be removed for PE lessons. If your child cannot insert or remove their earrings independently, they should not wear them to school. We recommend that children do not wear earrings on PE days.
Watches should be functional and should not be novelty items or excessively large, as these can distract the wearer and other pupils during lessons. This includes sports and activity-tracking watches.
If your child needs to wear a medical-alert necklace or bracelet, please inform the school office so that appropriate arrangements can be agreed.
The school cannot accept responsibility for the safekeeping of jewellery or watches.
Lost Property
Children are encouraged to take responsibility for the care of their own belongings. Inevitably there will be occasions when things get muddled or lost. There are lost property boxes which are available for both parents/carers and children to access. Parents/carers are expected to label all items of clothing including coats and P.E trainers/plimsolls.
Are there any things my child needs to bring to school?
Children should bring a named coat and a water bottle to school everyday.
Book bags and reading books should also be brought to school everyday.
During the summer months please apply suncream before school and send your child in with a hat and suncream.
